Record breaking Real Madrid top UEFA club coefficient rankings
– Real Madrid have been named the top club in Europe per its coefficient rankings
– This is the forth consecutive season that Los Blancos are top of the rankings
– Manchester United climb up to 15th on the ranking, Bayern are placed second
UEFA have announced that Real Madrid are the top side in Europe going into the 2017/18 campaign according to its club coefficient rankings.
This is the fourth consecutive season that Los Blancos have been ranked top of the rankings after winning three Champions league titles in four years.
Madrid took over from Barcelona at the top of the rankings after winning the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League and they have not looked back.
Bayern Munich are the second placed side while Barcelona and Atlético Madrid remain third and fourth respectively.
Juventus leapt four places to fifth while Chelsea dropped five to tenth following a season outside Europe while Sevilla were the only new entry to the top ten.
Manchester United’s UEFA Europa League win lifted them from 20th to 15th while other big climbers are Monaco to 29th (+29), Beşiktaş to 43rd (+19), Rostov to 87th (+59), Hapoel Beer-Sheva to 150th (+125) and Dundalk to 237th (+159).
